NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!

 

How often we have heard or being hearing “No news is good news” Does it imply that if there is no news at all, then we consider it as good news?

Well that’s fair enough. Sometimes when I ponder over this I feel that in fact any news for that matter is not good. Oh!Breaking News! OMG! What did it break ? Was it a good news or a bad one? How much it really matter when news or so called catchy headlines say? Amit Shah Covid! Amitabh and Abhishek Covid! It appears that they themselves are Covid A disease. What impact do we have on seeing or listening to such news?

Yes it is a Breaking News. To be frank , I am not interested in knowing how many cases are positive, how many cases are negative , ho many recovered and how many kicked the bucket. It would be a good news if media says that it is just a pandemic and will be cured at the earliest rather than making pandemic a Panic!

News in our country is TOXIC. It is fabricated, concocted, sensitized, dramatised and hence highly

criticized. Take Nirbhaya’s case- was she the only one whose modesty was outraged and then murdered brutally? No the news presented was like a thriller. So TRP increased- is this what the media wanted or still wants? Our news anchors are omniscient – All knowing they know all the Articles of the Constitution , everything about surgical strikes and so on. They fed they are very presentable and real news. With their stupidity and sneer ignorance , they make news sensuous so sensuous that it amounts to nonsense. 

 

What is the impact of such news during a Pandemic called COVID ? Masks, social distancing, vaccine , death toll , red zone , green , orange -OMG- A plethora of words. When a dog bites a man , it is no news. But when a man bites a dog it is News- Breaking News Indeed . 

 

So let’s wait for some such news to make an impact on us Our news is Yellow Journalism. It leaves us Yellowish Pale. So during the time of Covid , please don't see News or Read news or Hear news . It has no impact whatsoever – It’s effect are negative not Covid Negative- Covid positive and psychologically negative.
